Dear Village Residents,

We would like to inform you that due to confirmed Covid cases in the Village over the past two weeks, we have canceled the Village Community Day which was scheduled for September 24/26.

The safety and well-being of all village residents are front and foremost, and will as always take all measures to protect that.

We will take a raincheck situation permitting in good health and of course with proper notification.

* WHAT… Ice Storm Warning, significant icing expected, with ice accumulations up to three tenths of an inch. For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain expected, with ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE…In New Jersey, Western Passaic County. In New York,
Orange County.
* WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 PM EST this
evening. For the Ice Storm Warning, from 6 PM this evening to
10 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the
ice. Travel could become very difficult especially tonight and
Tuesday morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Travel is strongly discouraged tonight and Tuesday morning. If
you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power
outages.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.
